Santomet Cream — Mometasone Furoate USP 0.1% (5g)
Santomet Cream is a prescription medium-potency topical corticosteroid containing Mometasone Furoate USP 0.1% (10mg per gram). It provides effective anti-inflammatory and antipruritic relief for a range of corticosteroid-responsive inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, and dermatitis. Available in convenient 5g collapsible tubes.
Prescription required. Use only as directed by your dermatologist or physician.
Composition
Each gram contains: Mometasone Furoate USP 0.1% w/w (10mg) in a cream base.
Indications
Topical treatment of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions responsive to corticosteroids:
- Atopic eczema, contact eczema, dyshidrotic eczema
- Psoriasis
- Lichen planus
- Dermatitis herpetiformis
- Seborrhoeic dermatitis
How to Use
As directed by your dermatologist. Generally applied once or twice daily as a thin layer to affected skin areas. Wash hands thoroughly after application. Do not bandage treated areas unless directed. Discontinue and consult your doctor if no improvement after 2 weeks.
Precautions
- Prescription only — for external use only
- Not suitable for children under 2 years of age
- Do not use for acne, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis
- Avoid contact with eyes; do not apply to mouth
- Avoid prolonged use on large body areas
- Corticosteroids can increase sun sensitivity — use sunscreen during treatment
- Store below 30°C, protected from light
