Sertazol Cream: Broad-Spectrum Antifungal for Fungal Skin Infections

SERTAZOL Cream, containing 2% Sertaconazole Nitrate (20 mg per gram), is a potent broad-spectrum antifungal cream formulated to treat a range of skin fungal infections. It belongs to the imidazole class of antifungal agents and works by disrupting the growth and function of fungi.

Composition:

Each gram of SERTAZOL Cream contains 20 mg of Sertaconazole Nitrate, formulated with precision to match the innovator's specifications.

Therapeutic Indications:

SERTAZOL Cream is indicated for interdigital tinea pedis (athlete's foot), typically caused by Trichophyton rubrum and related dermatophytes. It also combats other fungal infections caused by dermatophytes.

Dosage and Administration:

For athlete's foot, apply SERTAZOL Cream twice daily for four weeks, covering the affected areas between the toes and the surrounding healthy skin. If there is no improvement after two weeks, consult your healthcare professional.

Contraindications:

Do not use SERTAZOL Cream if you have a known or suspected allergy to Sertaconazole Nitrate, any of its components, or other imidazoles.

Potential Side Effects:

While generally well-tolerated, SERTAZOL Cream may occasionally cause contact dermatitis, dry skin, burning sensation, application site reactions, or skin tenderness. Repeated use does not lead to cumulative irritation or sensitization. Other possible side effects include redness, itching, blistering, peeling, and skin darkening.

Important Precautions:
