Description
Terbin Cream — Terbinafine HCl 1% Broad-Spectrum Antifungal
Terbin Cream by Martin Dow contains Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% w/w, a potent allylamine antifungal that inhibits squalene epoxidase in the fungal cell membrane, causing ergosterol depletion and lethal squalene accumulation. This broad-spectrum action is effective against dermatophytes, yeasts (including Candida), and dimorphic fungi — covering athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, cutaneous candidiasis, and pityriasis versicolor. Prescription required.
Apply once or twice daily for 1–2 weeks for most conditions; pityriasis versicolor requires 2 weeks. Minimal systemic absorption (<5%) ensures excellent topical safety. Not for use in children. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Store below 30°C, protect from light and heat.
