Tycelex Hydrocortisone 1% + Clotrimazole 1% Antifungal Cream 10g
Description
Tycelex Cream: Relieving Inflamed Fungal Skin Conditions
TYCELEX Cream combines two active ingredients to treat sensitive and inflamed fungal skin conditions. Each gram contains:
- Hydrocortisone B.P 1% w/w — a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness and itching.
- Clotrimazole U.S.P 1% w/w — a broad-spectrum antifungal agent effective against dermatophytes, Candida and related fungi.
Indications
TYCELEX Cream is indicated for the treatment of:
- Candida nappy rash
- Tinea infections
- Seborrhoeic Dermatitis
- Perleche (angular cheilitis)
- Athlete's foot
- Candidal intertrigo
Dosage & Administration
For both adults and children, gently apply TYCELEX Cream to the affected area and surrounding skin two or three times a day. Rub it in gently or follow your doctor's instructions for best results.
Contraindications
TYCELEX Cream should not be used on:
- Broken skin or large areas of skin
- If there is hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
- Cold sores or acne
- Eyes or mucous membranes
- Ringworm, unless prescribed by a doctor
- Secondarily infected skin conditions, unless prescribed by a doctor
- Any untreated bacterial skin diseases (e.g., herpes simplex, rosacea, shingles)
Warnings and Precautions
Due to its corticosteroid content, TYCELEX Cream should not be applied to large areas (more than 10% of the body surface) for long-term continuous therapy or under occlusive dressing. These restrictions are particularly important for children, as increased systemic absorption can lead to adrenocortical suppression.
Pregnancy and Lactation
TYCELEX Cream is recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation only when considered necessary by a clinician.
Adverse Reactions
Occasionally, patients may experience mild burning or irritation immediately after applying the cream. In rare cases this may become intolerable, leading to treatment cessation. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur after prolonged use on large areas or under occlusive dressing, potentially causing skin atrophy, telangiectasia, hypertrichosis, striations, hypopigmentation, secondary infection, and acneiform symptoms.
Storage Conditions
Store TYCELEX Cream between 15°C and 30°C, protecting from light, heat and moisture. Keep all medications out of reach of children.
