Valday 5/160 mg Tablets combine two proven antihypertensive agents: Amlodipine 5 mg (a calcium channel blocker) and Valsartan 160 mg (an angiotensin II receptor blocker, ARB). Amlodipine relaxes arterial smooth muscle by blocking calcium influx, reducing peripheral vascular resistance. Valsartan blocks the AT1 receptor, preventing angiotensin II from causing vasoconstriction and aldosterone release. Together, these complementary mechanisms produce greater blood pressure reduction than either agent alone.
