Wilda-M 50/500mg Tablets contain Vildagliptin 50mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg, a fixed-dose oral combination for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus whose blood glucose is not adequately controlled by diet, exercise, or metformin monotherapy alone.
Vildagliptin is a selective DPP-4 inhibitor that increases circulating levels of active incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release. Metformin reduces hepatic glucose output, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity — together delivering complementary dual-mechanism glycaemic control.
