Tobcoid Tobramycin + Dexamethasone Eye Drops 5ml

Prescription required. Tobcoid Eye Drops contain Tobramycin (an aminoglycoside antibiotic) and Dexamethasone (a corticosteroid) for the management of ocular infections and associated inflammation where concurrent antibiotic and anti-inflammatory therapy is indicated, under ophthalmologist supervision.

Active Ingredients

  • Tobramycin — aminoglycoside antibiotic. Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, effective against a range of Gram-negative and some Gram-positive ocular pathogens.
  • Dexamethasone — corticosteroid. Suppresses ocular inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin and cytokine release, reducing swelling, redness, and irritation.

Indication

Used in the management of ocular inflammation associated with bacterial infection of the external eye and adnexa, where concurrent use of an antibiotic and corticosteroid is appropriate, under the direction of a licensed ophthalmologist. Prescription required before dispensing.

Important Safety Information

  • This is a prescription-only medication. Do not use without a valid prescription.
  • For use under ophthalmologist supervision only. Corticosteroids can mask signs of infection and may increase intraocular pressure with prolonged use.
  • Complete the full prescribed course.
  • Store below 25°C. Keep away from children. Discard 28 days after opening. Shake well before use.
