Pre-care:
- Do NOT wax, pluck, thread or epilate for 2-4 weeks before. Shave the area 12-24 hours before.
- No sun exposure or self-tanners for 4 weeks before AND after.
- Disclose photosensitising drugs, recent isotretinoin (6 months), pregnancy and any gold deposits in skin.
Procedure: protective goggles are worn. The cooled handpiece is passed over the forearms in sections. Most describe a warm snap.
Aftercare: avoid hot baths, sauna, gym and tight friction for 24-48 hours. Apply a soothing aloe/panthenol gel and broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily. Shave only - no waxing, plucking or electrolysis between sessions.
